Curty 13th Bat Rescue

We got a phone call at 5:00 AM and then my Mom came downstairs and said, "Bat rescue leaving in 5 minutes." I stayed in my pajammas and went. This bat was behind a curtain. I went to get him and he flew away. We were at the house for an hour and he kept landing and everytime I went to grab him he flew for about 2 or 3 minutes. He did this about 6 or 7 times. In the middle of this we ended up taking the curtains down. Then to make it even more fun there were no doors so he could fly between the livingroom, diningroom, Kitchen, and Hallway. I gave up and gave the cage to Mom. she finally got him. The bat flew into the cage and was mad.

We got him home and we all layed on moms bed and rested. That night we went to release him. He once he could smell the air he was at the top of the cage. Then when I opened the cage he was gone soon after.

That was a fun and tireding rescue. The only bad thing is that most of the videos we took they didn't save so we only had what we had before we released him.

Alice 12th Bat Rescue

There was a picture put on Facebook from a friend that my Mom saw at 5:00 in the morning. We rested for a little bit and then about 9 or 10 we went to go get the bat. She was on the screen of the window outside someones house. The person didn't know if the bat was died or not but her niece enjoyed looking at it from inside the house.

When we got there to get her she had flies all over her. She ended up being dead so we grabbed her and put her in a box to dispose of later. I think it was the next day that my Dad got rid of her.

I hope you enjoyed the story of Alice even though it was sad.

Dusty 11th Bat Rescue

I was doing my chores and I got asked by my mom if I wanted to go do a bat rescue. I said sure. We went to my old church and he was on the floor in between a set of doors. I looked at him for about a minute then I went to grab him. He opened his mouth and chattered at me. I just smiled, then I grabbed him. He was not very happy that I got him. My Mom had the cage I was putting him in. We closed it and talked to the person who told us about the bat.

We took him home and just let him rest for the rest of the afternoon. We then released him that night. He flew off and was happy to be free. The reason he was named Dusty was because he had dust on his thumbs when I got him.

That is the story about Dusty!
